Painting on wheels

This week I av bin mostly paintin on wheels...transit vans, converted ambulances, three wheelers, broken astras, merc's and yours if you fancy?

Graffiti, words & letters

This section is about painting letters and words...some look angry-calm, rank-sexy, soggy-fresh, hot-cold, slim-chunky, royal-crusty.

In 2006 the local residents and the council had the great idea of setting up some legals walls in Leeds. These were given community project awards, but the council have recently made these walls illegal and you can get arrested/fined for painting them. OlasArt does not do, promote or condone illegal activities.

People

A collection of faces and personalities; some of which I have been lucky enough to meet and others that I havent and wouldnt really want to either...

Splashing colour on shops

These are photos of shops, schools, vans, offices and other places that Ive been commissioned to paint...soon come the tasty Yard Cafe! Stay tuned for jerk chicken rice n peas...

Deep and Pretty

All art, music and alot of other stuff communicates something (a message, feeling etc) which can be interpreted in loads of different ways by different people. There are a mixture of paintings in this folder, some I doodled out and then thought of what they meant/were about. For others I had an idea and then designed the painting around this idea. Read what you like into all of them, they are what they are to you...and they hopefully look nice.

Shrewsbury dubclub

Starting in a wood near Shrewsbury 2003, Treedub grew into dubclub, and as our night has developed I have designed reggae dub artwork to skank alongside soundsystems such as Channel One, Jah Shaka, AbaShanti-I, Jah Tubbys, Iration Steppas and more...

Unity Day 2008 & 2009

A great community event in Hyde Park, Leeds. It began in 1996 as a positive reaction to the riots of '95, and brings the community, local and wider together with arts and music. One of the many things going on was a graffiti spray painting area next to the Quake soundsystem and skate park. We setup a wooden cube and had people painting all four sides throughout the day...and it didnt rain until all the painting was done! Big up everyone involved in every aspect who make it what it is.

Indian Influence

In progress but for now....
