Some say its a puffin, some say it looks fish-like, I agree with both but heres what I had in mind. The lower/tail part of the bird is made up of earthly things; humans, a wave of water and flames lick up the leafy tree. The upper part of the bird is made up of things from the sky; the red sun as the beak, the swirling galaxies in the eye and the stars in the body. These are all things we can know about and experience, the black area represents what we dont know, so it is negatively represented. 2007 acrylic A3
