Around Trichur in South India they have a festival season, where people bang drums, blow horns and crash cymbals till sunrise. The music starts out teasingly slow, and three hours later climaxs with a beat similar to hardcore techno. It drops back into the slowest beat, and builds up again; night after night. The best way to know where the next one is, is to follow the elephant crew, and this oil pastel drawing is of that. 2004 (click here for video clip)
